A multi-medium, art exhibition examining and uncovering the history and culture of indigenous people from the beginnings of America to now, through but not limited to its expression, persecution, language, spirituality, grief, and pride.
We are looking for artwork that explores the suffering & displacement of indigenous and African people and their heritage.
We are looking for artwork that acknowledges political and cultural climates involving/regarding indigenous and African people and their heritage.
We are looking for artwork depicting the intermingling of ancestral roots via colonization/migration and their contemporary state/influence and place in America.
We are looking for artwork that is inclusive of but certainly not limited to:
Native Americans, Taino, Puerto Ricans, Afro-Taino, Latino, Afro-Latino, Dominicans, Arawak, Inuit Culture, Mexican, Aztec, Inca, Quechua, Haitian, Hawaiian (Kanaka Maoli), Polynesian.
Inclusive of all mediums and perspectives! Some examples include but are not limited to:
Paintings, sculpture, jewelry, clothing & textiles, ceramics, photography, antiques, dolls, glasswork, writings, handmade instruments, taxidermy.
This is a Gallery Exhibition and not an Online, Virtual Exhibition.

Open to: Local, Regional, National & International Artists are welcome to submit

Entry Fee: $30.00 for a maximum of 10 Entries.
Eligibility: Open to all mediums of art with the exception of installation art & Video. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
The artist retains all copyrights to submitted images and represented artwork. Digital images submitted with the artist's entry are for exhibition selection only. Artists selected to exhibit grant House of Shadows Creative Gallery & Market the right to use the selected image(s) on printed materials and the gallery website for promotional purposes only. House of Shadows retains no copyrights to the artist's work.
House of Shadows will retain a 30% commission on any sold work in the gallery during its exhibition run.
The artist is responsible for insuring and properly packaging their work. A return shipping label must be pre-purchased and provided to us.
